Role Summary  

The main duties of this opportunity are to carry out inspections, repairs and maintenance of fire alarm systems installed at our customer’s site(s). In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance of various emergency systems such as lighting and protective systems, and portable fire extinguishers.

Key Job Responsibilities 

Perform the duties of the maintenance contracts, service calls, and 24 hours emergency service calls.
Communicates with the customer and determines the nature of the problem or trouble with the residential system.  Independently performs quality service, maintenance (changing batteries, runs wires) and recommends improvements. Ensures that customer satisfaction is met.
Tests and commissions the system to ensure that the service performed was successful.  Where capable, performs necessary adjustments as needed.
Trains customers on the operation and proper use of the system in takeover situations.  Instructs customers on the basic working knowledge of the system.
Complete various reports and documents related to the work performed.
Complete inspections of Fire Alarm Systems as per Can/ULC S536-04
Complete verifications of Fire Alarm Systems as per Can/ULC S537-04
Complete Fire Extinguisher inspections as per NFPA-10
Complete Annual Emergency Lightning inspections as per the OBC
